Fred Fuller Catching Up
I think the Attorney General and Governor Hassan have done an excellent job with assisting Fred Fuller's customers, particularly with the hotline and aggressive monitoring of Fuller's operations over the last couple of weeks. That's the kind of action we should expect from our government. I also read about one town (sorry, forgot the name) where the selectmen jumped in to assist their citizens with their oil needs. Kudos to them!

I read that NB and thanks for posting it here for everyone else. This is the way government should be run. Governor Hassan and her administration has done an excellent job with this issue and she continues to impress me with her governing skills. Help the people first and then find a way in the future to make sure it doesn't happen again...it's called corrective action. I'm proud to be from NH right now.

My nephew just needed oil and all he got was a hundred gallons. I don't think Fuller is out of the woods yet.

I'm also proud to live in New Hampshire, Achigan, and I appreciate the proactive response by Governor Hassan! I got through to Fuller yesterday and they promised me a delivery next week, but it's nice to know that I can call a state hotline number if I need to. I don't think Fuller is out of the woods yet either, and I was planning on changing companies next year anyway. I'll worry about that after this winter.

It is?
Like Chicago?
The Market should determine your next vendor—not a politician using Chicago "muscle".

Since I pre-purchased my oil in the free market I would expect a normal delivery when I'm at 1/4 tank, about 180 gallons. I already have purchased a couple of 5 gallon containers in case I need to keep myself going with diesel fuel.
PUTZ!

You're about to heat with diesel fuel?
This is truly "Jimmy Carter's Second Term"!
Yet shilling for Obama to block "The Keystone Pipeline"?
Detroit can't be too far behind.

Re: Fred Fuller Catching Up
It is quite apparent that there are not enough regulations on heating oil suppliers since Fred Fuller nearly let some of it's customers freeze to death! Socialism might not be a bad thing, since in Fred Fuller's case the free market is apparently not working.
Another regulation we sorely need is the complete ban of the Keystone Pipeline. Watching the debacle in West Virginia unfold where coal industry chemicals were stored in tanks very close to the regions drinking water supply, (not too bright) it appears that it would only be a matter of time before a leak from the Keystone Pipeline would destroy the entire water supply in the Ogallala Aquifer that supplies water to 8 mid-western states.
The America you long for is the America that created the Love Canal and other numerous environmental disasters. Thank God that folks of your ilk and generation are in the past tense!!

"Socialism might not be a bad thing"
Have you noticed how many Democrats are actually embracing the Socialism tag?
Others Democrats are waiting and hoping for the bad people to die. It's no wonder their are death panels now. The Socialists, not Democrats, Socialists will do what they can to hurry that process.

People don't die in Socialist countries—except maybe Czechoslovakia—where the government encourages people to smoke tobacco.

In the free market, one takes risks—one that you had the FREEDOM to make—but chose wrongly to "take" that discount.

Rail is definitely less safe than a pipeline.

Isn't the Love Canal in New York?

NB forgets that socialism isn't for people like him and us. It's for the government people. They are the ones that reap the benefits.

Re: Fred Fuller Catching Up
Fred Fuller has been a reputable company for over 40 years and their discount is a written contract. It's appropriate for the Attorney General and the Governor to get involved with this case in sub-freezing temperatures so people don't freeze to death, and to insure that Fuller doesn't commit any criminal act of fraud with these contracts.

Re: Fred Fuller Catching Up
Unless there's a part of the contract that allows for "Acts of God" (or other circumstance), you've got a claim against the company. Why would we hobble another business with regulations that can't insure delivery? We can't protect ourselves from every circumstance, as Hurricane Sandy has proven.News Buzzard wrote:Fred Fuller has been a reputable company for over 40 years and their discount is a written contract.
Yup.News Buzzard wrote:It's appropriate for the Attorney General and the Governor to get involved with this case in sub-freezing temperatures so people don't freeze to death, and to insure that Fuller doesn't commit any criminal act of fraud with these contracts.
Government has made wonderful progress against the Medicare fraud in ONE Florida County, and kept it from rising above 2 Billion dollars.
(What it takes to keep Obama in office, I guess).

In part, could he mean the Marxists in Washington, DC, which is the friendliest city towards gays ?
(...who elbow-in legislation to favorably affect the fortunes of people with
"pre-existing conditions"...who might just vote for the Marxists )?

You don't know that in a socialist country the people who have to share everything don't have much? Only the leaders get all the prizes.

Last evening's comment at FATP:
.
Arrived at our home in Meredith late Friday, Jan. 10th, only to discover that our oil tank was low (1/8th). Called Fuller Oil & they delivered by Saturday at noon even with all of the icy roads. Excellent service.

If you're "happy" with Socialism—You don't want to know!
Those of us who served in the military have seen Socialism first hand.
Say that "you support the troops", but only IF you'd enlisted in the military, you'd appreciate this message:
