Today’s Republican Party comment
A gentleman by the name of Nick Vazzana of Sandwich, NH wrote an article in the "Letters to the Editor" section in todays edition of the Carroll County Independent. I can't post a link because it is a paid on-line subscription that I have.
Here is the last part of it that made a lot of sense to me about the Republican Party:
"The goal of today’s Republican Party is not the growth of jobs or the increase in the wealth of workers. Since winning the House in 2010, Republicans have tried to deny President Obama the ability to get anything done. These “pseudo-patriotic” demagogues pray for a return to recession and 2008’s mass unemployment, the perfect recipe for a Republican landslide in November. Do you and your family really look forward to this prospect?"

Of course it made sense to YOU- you could have written it. Of course it also doesn't happen to be true.

Great letter, and what makes it so much better is the fact that the guy ran a corporation for 30 years and made a very wise reference to Henry Ford.

Re: Today’s Republican Party comment
I would put Nick Vazzana in the same category with those who want Obama hung.
There are people on both sides that are just plain ignorant, lack intelligence, are devoid of all integrity or are just so blinded by a party they say and do asinine things. They make such egregious and detestable statements they actually make their own side look pathetic.
I don’t believe Mr. Vazzana reflects the views of the vast majority of Democrats.
Great example extreme whack-job Achigan.

Re: Today’s Republican Party comment
Here is another good statement in the article that is so true:
"It’s been a hundred years, and the Republicans still have not gotten the message. If a political party really wants to help business it should work to increase the purchasing power of all of our citizens."
The party of "NO" just doesn't get it!!!

The Republicans are no more the party of "no" than the Democrats.

That's 55 too many. And what do you think, every single law that is suggested should be passed?

I was hoping for zero.
Nothing makes me happier than government that can do nothing to me.
If people had any sense left, they'd agree.
Government can nothing for you without doing something to somebody else.

Much rather see a reduction in taxation and regulation as opposed to $447 billion of make work government cheese jobs paid for with my tax money and used to fund tearing my state apart.

Re: Today’s Republican Party comment
Maybe WHL & Anti would like to live in a country like Somali where there are no laws. The two of you could meet for coffee each morning and talk about what is going on in your country and hope that all the people are nice to each other that day. Sounds like a nice country without laws that the both of you think we should have here in America.

Or maybe Brazil when it comes to lawlessness. There is no proper law or system for anything in Brazil, there is no proper educations because most of the teachers are either on strikes or the rate of education is very low. Pollution is another problem, most of the rivers and environment are polluted and safe drinking is not available. Social injustice is at its peak, robberies and assaults are very common. There is no equality as most of the people are poor and only few are rich which leaves the citizen in the state of social inequality.

Interesting that you should cite those two countries, one ruled by a Marxist regime until it collapsed and the other under progressive rule as we speak.
Progressives are haunted by the fear that someone, somewhere, is doing something without permission.
Your straw man argument has failed, utterly.
Go back and try again.

OK so you don't like those two countries...I'll keep trying to find one you like.
How about the Congo?

In Congo there is no one to setup the law and order, most of the statesmen are not willing to take responsibility of the state, all they care for is their own monetary benefits. A very major obstacle on the country’s way to peace is the fact that Congo is home to people belonging to many tribes and ethnic groups. Congo is victim of genocide between different groups as well as corruption which leave the country in the state of destruction. There is absolutely no security for the women, the rape rate is very high, also access to health care is not available for the citizens.

LOL and Congo is a victim of the US Empire as Zaïre and puppet "leaders" with big ideas.
You keep shooting yourself in the foot.
Try say, Switzerland.
Neutral for centuries, a stable republic for a many centuries more.
A stable, homogenous population, relatively isolated, a citizen soldiery, and a very limited constitutional government.
Prosperity, peace and freedom.

In Switzerland if you were walking down the street minding you own business and a policeman stopped you and asked for I.D., what would you do?

I imagine I would forced to present it, as the Swiss have no Bill of Rights.

I've worked in Western Africa.
If it wasn't so damn hot, I wouldn't mind.
It'll probably turn out to be a grand place, once all the imperialist and Marxist trappings are finally swept away.
