I had to post this because I am sure NB will spend the rest of the day hunting for one that gives O higher approval ratings.

No, it only takes 5 minutes to look up the RCP average:

That's about the most accurate and means little to me. Obama has almost 3 years left to protect us from the Right Wing Radicals, like the Koch brothers, who want to take everything away from us, and then I'm counting on Hillary for 8 more years. By then the Tea Party should be past tense. (Hopefully)

So you single out one poll when you like it and when you don't you take an average. Typical Dem.  Laughing

Obama's back in the 30s Empty Gallup also found...

Post  News Hawk Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:07 pm

Gallup also found:

"Obama's fifth year in office ranks as the fourth-most polarized presidential year in Gallup's records, which date back to the Eisenhower presidency. In fact, all five of Obama's years in office rank among the 10-most polarized, with his fourth year edging out George W. Bush's fourth year in office for the top overall spot. Four of Bush's years in office rank among the 10-most politically polarized in terms of presidential job approval.

You don't suppose that Obamacare plays into this polarizing business?

I'm no fan of the Koch brothers, they are Beltway Libertarians at best or "Establishmentarians".

But how is that they "want to take everything away from us"?

The only people picking my pocket and taking things away from me is government.

What, specifically, do the Koch brothers want, that belongs to you?

You knew this of course:

Since 2000, David H. Koch Charitable Foundation has pledged or contributed more than $750 million to cancer research, medical centers, educational institutions, arts, cultural institutions, and public policy studies.[4][21] Since 2006, the Chronicle of Philanthropy has listed Koch as one of the world's top 50 philanthropists.[22]

The Koch brothers have been trying to do away with Social Security and Medicare for years, and these 2 programs are the only means of survival for millions of senior citizens. When they tell you that they want to privatize Social Security, that means they want to do away with it. Bush tried it in his second term. Same thing for Medicare when they talk of vouchers. A voucher program for Medicare is the end of Medicare.

The only social programs the Conservatives want to keep are very low taxes for themselves. I've bought into Camp's flat tax, do you see anyone around here clamoring to get on board?

Lowering taxes will increase hiring, and more buyers will spur the economy. Of course, you can call it a mean-hearted effort (or something else).

A replacement for a system that is failing right before your eyes is needed. Reforming of social programs shouldn't be envisioned like some kind of hot stove. Look to Galveston, Texas, whose "entitlement programs" still work—and were designed in the era of FDR.

“It shouldn’t be a pay-as-you-go system, where children and grandchildren are paying for your Social Security,” said Ray Holbrook, a former Galveston County judge who led the charge to opt out of Social Security during his 28-year tenure. “That’s why it’s bankrupt, and that’s why Rick Perry says it’s a Ponzi scheme, which I agree with.”

Lowering taxes does not increase hiring, (See Wisconsin) and the plan in Galveston is nothing more than a 401K, where a retiree can exhaust their retirement fund. That never happens with Social Security and the Trust fund is nowhere near broke, despite the lies the Republicans are telling you!!!
