Visting this summer

I will be headed back north this summer! I am not sure for how long yet. Might be a week might be a month. Luckily a buddy will have his boat on the lake for the summer for me to use so I don't have to make the long tow back..

Hoping to meet up with all my old friends. If you are interested, PM me and we can hopefully make arrangements.

I know I will be there starting the last week of June into July. I haven't decided for how long however. It will depend on work. Hope it warms up!!!!! I am not used to anything under 70.   

Well, if you don't want under 70, don't come now!!  It has been very dark and dreary, not a lot of sun.  Mother's Day and Monday were really nice, but we cooled down after that.  It is spring after  all, I guess we expect too much.  Hopefully it will warm up by June!!

Yes my parents returned back in late April. They have decided to stay in FL until mid to late May next year.

There may be a Fun Run going on. I am not sure when. I have to see when the Donzi Poker Run and Easter Seals runs are. Perhaps you would like to join? You do not need a go fast boat to be part of the fun. All are welcome! Hopefully I can be there for all the runs but will have to see as we get closer. I will let you know if I can swing up that way.

Only 2 weeks before I am up north. Can someone please change the weather and heat up the lake for me? Should be a great time. Many opportunities and from what I hear a few fun runs scheduled. I am sure I will be all over so hopefully we can catch up.

Actually the lake doesn't feel that cold now.  I had my feet in and it didn't feel that bad.  I can't remember a year when I haven't been swimming by now though.  After today, it is supposed to warm up again.  Let's just hope it can hold!!!  So sick of the clouds!!

Well it appears my wish has been granted. Looks like it will be March / April weather (for me) for the next two weeks! Nice, but chilly, sleeping temps on the agenda as well it seems.

Looking forward to seeing the lake again. I love the 84 degree gulf and constant sunshine but the lake will always hold a place dear in my heart and is part of who I am.

Apparently I will have a boat. A good friend is dropping his checkmate off at the dock for the time I am there so I should be able to make it to some of my old stomping grounds.

We do have a rather packed schedule to say the least. All the relatives want to see the kids as they have grown tremendously in the Florida sun and there are just so many close friends from not only around the lake but New England that have said they would be stopping by. WHL if I don't get over your way I sincerely apologize however it will be a game time decision considering.

On top of all this there are three different fun runs being organized that I would like to participate in.

Will you be out on the water at all? We plan to do a few lunches around the lake at some of my favorite places. Perhaps you can meet us? Alton, Wolfeboro, Naswa, Meredith etc.. Do you have a vessel to make it to one or all of those locations?

Hey WHL,

So sorry I haven't been able to make it over. I was in winter harbor earlier this week but I had to get a friend home so he could make it to work. The only other day I may be able to make it that way is on Saturday but it will depend on how many people stop to visit.

Been having a GREAT visit. I have seen almost 3 dozen friends and family thus far. More arrive tomorrow!... Next time I need at least two weeks as I am burning myself out.
