Britain Revisits Global Warming...
Surely, this information is seen on your TV—even viewed today by the usual under-informed voter...

The graph shows in incontrovertible detail how the speed of global warming has been massively overestimated. Yet those forecasts have had a ruinous impact on the bills we pay, from heating to car fuel to huge sums paid by councils to reduce carbon emissions.
"The eco-debate was, in effect, hijacked by false data. The forecasts have also forced jobs abroad as manufacturers relocate to places with no emissions targets.

OH no! You mean global warming isn't real? After Gore made all that money from saying it was? And after the gov. threatened scientists that they better go along with the charade???

A former house I owned in Florida had a 90-foot elevation. The sandy soil it was built upon was Atlantic Ocean beachfront at one time.fshnski wrote:How the heck can we not be effecting the the earths climate?

The Earth has its long cycles: we're in a long warming trend with a 15-year "error" that was undisclosed from your TV—if not actually hidden—to support the paychecks of a few ivory tower eggheads, mostly in Britain.
Those paid climate prognosticators have to promote the fact that they totally missed this one "dip" from the few of the last century.
Why would we want to pay for it to go back, anyway? Shorten the world's growing season, when the mass of Humanity counts over 7 Billon individuals?
To save New Orleans?

You are not talking to someone that is not familiar with the effects of man on this planet.

"It is officially admitted: Global warming stopped 15-20 years ago.
"The mainstream media is struggling very hard to explain this away. They admit that the Earth stopped warming 15 to 20 years ago. But just you wait -- disaster is coming unless we vote liberals into office. They cannot explain the pause. Yet they "know" global warming will kill...

Glad to hear that. I am sure the environmentalists will not agree.

If you only listen to one side of the story you might be missing the truth. It's pretty easy to ignore facts that way. Unfortunately the truth has been corrupted so many times by both sides it's about impossible for the unaffiliated to make a choice on the knowledge and opinions presented that haven't been tampered with.

Its April 2nd, it was 28 degrees when I left for work this morning and we have yet to see a day this year above 60 degrees.
I would pay good money to have run into Al Gore today.

Fsh, that is true about many things. We think we know, but we never get all the details and or the real truth! It is true even in local town politics. We are only told what they want us to hear.

You're already paying Al Gore!

Re: Britain Revisits Global Warming...
You're suggesting that Mankind can produce global warming on a planetary scale. What happened during the 15-years past? (Other than Liberals greatly benefiting from "low-information voter" histeria).fshnski wrote:If you only listen to one side of the story you might be missing the truth. The article has a climatological expert saying that thermometer readings are affected by their surroundings—such as when suburbs begin to surround long-established thermometer sites: I see it myself here in Florida. Sites on leeward shores are being read as "official"—when just a ΒΌ-mile away—the actual windward temperatures can be many degrees cooler.

Re: Britain Revisits Global Warming...
If that is really the case then it is bad science. Unfortunately, nowadays money has a tendency to influence most of all scientific findings. "You can't prove that so I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing!" The lawyers from one side or the other have everybody confused with a contradiction for every fact.

Russia Re-Visits Global Warming...
"Global warming which has been the subject of so many discussions in recent years, may give way to global cooling. According to scientists from the Pulkovo Observatory in St.Petersburg, solar activity is waning, so the average yearly temperature will begin to decline as well. Scientists from Britain and the US chime in saying that forecasts for global cooling are far from groundless. Some experts warn that a change in the climate may affect the ambitious projects for the exploration of the Arctic that have been launched by many countries..."
