That's been going on for decades and the reason for the implementation of Obamacare. There is no denying that healthcare spending has slowed down as a result and the real reason why many in the healthcare business are against it. The conservative Heritage Foundation came up with the idea of the mandate, until of course Obama's name was attached to it. That's alright, Obamacare is not going anywhere!!

Obamacare was supposed to lower the costs by thousands per year not slow down the increases. Don’t you recall that selling point?

Of course Obamacare didn't control deductibles, nor can it control rates either. These insurance companies can charge whatever they like. The health care system has gotten worse, not better.

Obama now claims just 6.7 million people are enrolled in Obamacare, not the 8 million he previously claimed.

Now how much of that 6.7 million are among the 5 million Americans whose plans were canceled by Obamacare which then in turn forced them enroll in Obamacare?

Obamacare hit a new all-time low approval rating in the Gallup poll of just 37%. For that reason.

There's a solution for all of those "problems"....single-payer, I'll expect your camp to enact that one right away......

Recently I got a breakdown of a visit for lab work from my insurance company. The breakdown read that the ins co was billed $151.00 for the work...then the insurance co discounts kicked in...the $151 bill was discounted by $131...adjusted by another $19.35... and the amount they paid was $10.71. My portion was 0.

So statistically when figuring out health care costs...does my lab work count as the $151 that the lab billed or the $10.71 that was actually paid?

As I mention prior, Gallup is not particularly very highly rated in its polling accuracy....Rasmussen is better but not by much and yet you will note the disparity between the two.  Rasmussen has the Presidents approval rate at 48%.

AARP recently had an article on Medicare fraud, $60 billion a year, and most of the examples were charges for services that never happened, so instead of spending $650 billion a year on the Pentagon why can't we spend a little more money to investigate Medicare fraud? Medicare can easily be fixed, but the Republicans don't want to. That will be a real disaster for future senior citizens because one bout with cancer can cost upwards of $1 million. One illness with no coverage will financially ruin almost all American families. That's what Obamacare and Medicare is all about, but the Republicans don't really care about some poor slob who is going broke because he got sick!!

In ONE Florida County, 2 billion dollars are lost to cheats annually—many living in foreign countries. Investigations began early when the fraud was only ONE Billion dollars.

The "exempt" Ted Kennedy died of brain cancer. The former health coverage for all of Congress, including Kennedy, was "affordable"—guarding against "going broke" by providing "catastrophic-coverage".

The bulk of the tax revenue is collected from those who utilize social programs the most, the lower- and middle-income earners. It's the only tax system that generates enough revenue to pay for the benefits without crippling the economy.

What I am saying is that conservatives screamed bloody murder and accused Obamacare of creating death panels to decide who gets coverage and who does not...something that the Affordable Care Act does not do, however Corporate Insurance companies have been doing it for decades with denial of coverage for treatment ordered by a doctor for a patient.

Obamacare is not insurance, private or otherwise, but it sets up rules that insurance companies must follow to avoid the kind of practices that brought us to this place...denial of coverage, denial of insurance for pre-existing conditions...etc etc...

The U-S has the best heath care in the world, not the best health insurance system and while there are parts of Obamacare that needs to be addressed that is not what conservatives are offering...they are only offering the abolishmdent of Obamacare and a return to the previous system.

Like I and others have pointed out, this was a conservative idea that was embraced by the President so suddenly it is the worst thing that has ever happened to the country.

A recent visit to my doctor, with tests and consultation:

Doctor bills my ins co $2819.68
Ins co discount.         $1539.86
Adjusted amount.      $1275.35
Amount covered.       $1165.35
Co pay.                        $20.00  

Balance to me.               $0.00


So I will repose my question....when figuring out what health care costs do they use the amount billed $2819.68 or the amount actually paid $1165.35, plus $20.?  

There is a substantial difference between the two.

I know that in your mind all these things must make some kind of sense...but a Mexican pilot being fired?  I personally know a pilot that was fired for letting John Kerry take the controls of a helicopter...both were Vietnam War vets and got to talking about the war and the pilot offered to let Kerry take the stick for a while...

Termination is the appropriate action for doing those kinds of things...and there is no prior photograph of a 14 year old girl that I can see.
