It sure would seem so.

Every weekend is preceded by a busy Friday—just as if every Massachusetts Bureaucrat and Academician took the day off from "work".

Massachusetts "celebrates" the only "Bunker Hill Day" off from 'work'.
Wait...there's another MA holiday—off from 'work'—unique in the USA.

WE went to a 1:00 softball game at Kingswood yesterday and traffic was backed up all the way from town to somewhere? beyond the school. It was awful.

Now, I remember, the other unique-to-America day of vacation is "Patriot's Day".

What a wonderful state-wide (Commonwealth-wide) vacation to remember the blood given up by The Founders to assure an extra few mid-April days to turn in their tax forms to the IRS.
