Today
was so beautiful. After a cloudy start, it turned out to be so nice, didn't it? I hope that awful weather we have been having has cleared and summer is here, just in time for the first day of summer!

Do yourself a favor, don't look at the forecast.

Well, I did ask for a regular forecast on this forum—I guess this'll have to do!
Re: Today
I have been looking at forecasts since 5:20. Trying to make them look better I guess. I just went out when we got that little spot of sun, NH and it was actually warm. ( I was chasing geese away before they even got here.)

We received .49 inches of rain between yesterday and today. The total for the month so far is 4.79 inches. Total for the year 16.63. Rain only. Doesn't count snow. Current temp is 80 degrees with a 79 percent humidity. Very subtle intermittent breeze from the west. Get the fans out. Dew point for the next few days will be in the high 60's.

Re: Today
Just had a little thunder and rain blow through here. It lasted about 5 minutes and the sun is now out. It was enough to scare the dog half to death though.

Re: Today
Anyone else getting electric power "drops"?
I've had five in the last ten minutes—the second caused my computer to shut down.
I know "Wolfeboro never loses power!"

Re: Today
Yes, our generator came on for a bit. Then we got a couple more hits, but it has stayed on.
You mean Wolfeboro's power never USED to go out. Don't forget the power plant is gone…..

Re: Today
I probably don't need to tell you this, but the last three BIG lightning strikes have been directly over your head!
The rain is coming directly from the north, and most of the electrical energy is to the west of Wolfeboro.
I'm shutting down this computer "just in case".

Shutting down the TV was "by consent"?
I got some major paperwork sorted out—after a pretty-darn-good "Light-Show"!
Re: Today
We got a harder hit earlier. It was exciting if not scary watching them over the Ossipees though. I don't remember many storms that lasted that long.

Re: Today
Not even close. I saw some great lightning but never any thunder within 10 seconds of the flash. I got .4" rain.

Re: Today
Just what I saw, big lightening bolts, but nothing as close as last night. I guess the poor fire department was so busy they were going from one place to the next last evening.

Re: Today
I didn't expect today to end up being as nice as it was! It was a wonderful afternoon. Let's hope the next week is this nice and I will be happy. They are saying lots of showers and I don't mind a late afternoon storm. And I also like it to be warm like today!

Let's hope today ends up being as nice as yesterday. So far so good. Going to a gathering this afternoon so hoping for no thundershowers.
