Hiring Picks Up At Small Firms
"Small business hiring and confidence about the future are rising, a signal of the economy's growing strength and diminishing concerns about employee insurance coverage required by the new health care law."
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/08/20/small-business-hiring/2662407/
From the article:
-Job creation at small companies has almost doubled in the past 6 months, reaching 82,000 jobs at firms with 49 or fewer employees in July.
-Borrowing by small businesses and sales of new franchises have also climbed.
-Sales of business franchises are up 4.3% this year
-It appears that the 30 hour mandate in Obamacare for businesses with over 50 employees has not deterred hiring.

Hiring revs up, but it's mostly part time and low pay
U.S. businesses are hiring at a robust rate. The only problem is that three out of four of the nearly 1 million hires this year are part-time and many of the jobs are low-paid.
Faltering economic growth at home and abroad and concern that President Barack Obama's signature health care law will drive up business costs are behind the wariness about taking on full-time staff, executives at staffing and payroll firms say.
Employers say part-timers offer them flexibility. If the economy picks up, they can quickly offer full-time work. If orders dry up, they know costs are under control. It also helps them to curb costs they might face under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
This can all become a less-than-virtuous cycle as new employees, who are mainly in lower wage businesses such as retail and food services, do not have the disposable income to drive demand for goods and services.

You can find the exact opposite statements. Right now Target is reporting disappointed earnings, add that to Walmart's recent announcement that their sales are down and you are trying to tell us businesses are doing great?

You want to find the exact opposite statement, because an improving economy under Obama is not acceptable to you. That's what this is all about.WHL wrote:You can find the exact opposite statements.

It's about what's right and what is wrong. Our country is becoming more and more divided and the left thinks that is fine. You racist, race baiting, un-American, manipulating know it all!

You know what? There is nothing I would like better than a wonderful economy under Obama! I would be a Democrat and would have voted for him if I thought he would have solved our problems. Knowing his policies, there is no way we are going to be a thriving country under his rule. But I truly wish that he would change his policies and make our economy better.

Well, actually, those pesky overseas reporters at Reuters are writing:
"...Barack Obama wanted to fundamentally change America. He is. The ObamaCare law is already destroying full-time jobs in America. Democrats rammed through a law that will destroy at least 2 percent of all full-time jobs in America. We are already seeing jobs disappear. Even Reuters can’t hide the truth any longer: U.S. businesses are hiring at a robust rate. The only problem is that three out of four of the nearly 1 million hires this year are part-time and many of the jobs are low-paid. Faltering economic growth at home and abroad ..."

And that is just ONE of the news stories you can find that doesn't agree that the jobs are growing.News Hawk wrote:Heaven-sent!Donzel wrote:God news Mr. President, thank you.

Nothing will thrive if you starve it and that's just what the big banks and large corps are doing by refusing to circulate OUR money that they took in 2007...anyone who doesn't understand that is foolish.

As the country continues to degrade the last thing on my mind is money. It is not the most important problem facing our nation.

Obamacare, immigration reform may make immigrants cheaper to hire than citizens
If Congress approves a Senate bill that creates a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, those immigrants would be granted legal status as "Registered Provisional Immigrants." They would be legal but barred from collecting health care benefits available under Obamacare. And because the Affordable Care Act also requires businesses with more than 50 employees to provide health benefits at a capped price, it could be cheaper for those companies to hire newly legalized immigrants rather than citizens who are eligible for Obamacare benefits.

Incomes Have Dropped Twice as Much During the 'Recovery' as During the Recession.
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/incomes-have-dropped-twice-much-during-recovery-during-recession_750068.html
New estimates derived from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey by Sentier Research indicate that the real (inflation-adjusted) median annual household income in America has fallen by 4.4 percent during the "recovery," after having fallen by 1.8 during the recession. During the recession, the median American household income fell by $1,002 (from $55,480 to $54,478). During the recovery—that is, from the officially defined end of the recession (in June 2009) to the most recent month for which figures are available (June 2013)—the median American household income has fallen by $2,380 (from $54,478 to $52,098). So the typical American household is making almost $2,400 less per year (in constant 2013 dollars) than it was four years ago, when the Obama "recovery" began.

And we now see the greatest disparity of wealth between classes in this country since before the Great Depression, which is anything but Obama's fault. But wait a minute, he's supposed to be a Socialist! You folks are looking at 3 more years of Obama and 8 years of Hillary, and you have no clue on how to turn that around! Obama won with 39% of the white vote. HELLO!
