It could save his life. I don't think that the boaters who are in the Poker Race are dummies though.

Previous helicopter videos show individual shots of Poker Race boaters leaping off wakes, and everybody on board looking "cool", with their color-matched apparel.

 

It's very unlikely disclosed video segments display any illegal activities, and I suspect Bear Islander knows this.

NH, be fair. After BI posted that, two others that were in the race said they did not go through the no wake zone making a wake. Now, I will give you the fact that most people have no idea what NO WAKE means, they think it just means slow down a little. But I find it hard to believe that ALL of those in the Donzi race ran the no wake zones.

A Co-Sponsor admitted that her husband "opened-up" the throttle when properly exiting the NWZ, but to keep up, those Ocean-Racers behind him immediately did the same—although still within the NWZ.
