Washington Navy yard tragedy.
The FBI identified Monday’s shooter at Washington Navy Yard as 34-year-old Aaron Alexis, who was killed inside the facility.
Alexis worked at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas, from 2007 to 2011, according to information released by the Navy.
Born in Queens, NY, Alexis joined the Navy in May 2007 and completed his recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill. He had most recently worked in Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 46, in Fort Worth, Texas.
It was unclear why or under what circumstances Alexis left the Navy.
However during the time he served, Alexis rose to the rank of Aviation Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class and was twice awarded, first with the National Defense Service Medal and then with the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Court records from Tarrant County, Texas, indicate that Alexis faced charges in 2010 for discharging a firearm through his apartment ceiling and into the apartment of a neighbor.

Obama uses Naval Yard shooting to stoke fear, push anti-gun agenda
Scaring the American public is one of President Obama’s favorite political tactics to get gun control. Just hours after the terrible shooting at the Naval Yard on Monday, Mr. Obama said that even though he didn’t have the facts, “We’re confronting — yet another — mass shooting. And today it happened on a military installation in our nation’s capital.”
Yet another?

Yeah, right, like the gun laws are working there. Maybe others reading this don't know that no guns are allowed in Washington.
I don't think Obama said this time that if he had a son he would look like Aaron, do you?

There is one thing that all the mass killers in recent years have in common. Every one of these nut jobs was addicted to violent video games.

obama attacks Republicans only hours after 12 innocent people lay dead miles away. He spent more time talking about the punk trayvon martin.
I'm surprised he used the word Patriot to describe the dead victims yesterday. It wouldn't surprise me if they sent that as a subliminal message.

How the heck did this animal get a high security clearance?
Red flag after red flag and nobody took that into consideration? Could this be because of AA? He shot out some one's tire in Washington State and shot through his ceiling in another incident. If that's not enough he is said to be unstable!

Re: Washington Navy yard tragedy.
The gunman in Monday’s shooting carnage at the Washington Navy Yard exhibited a “pattern of misconduct” during his four-year tenure in the Navy Reserve, but he still received an honorable discharge.
Aaron Alexis’ military offenses included unauthorized absences from work, insubordination, disorderly conduct, room inspection failures and one instance of being absent without leave — with the most serious offenses handled in the civilian justice system, a Navy official said on background Tuesday.

Re: Washington Navy yard tragedy.
WASHINGTON – Aaron Alexis, the man suspected of killing 12 people in a shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday only started working there last week, his employer told Reuters on Tuesday.
Alexis, 34, had worked for the same information technology firm, The Experts, at six or more U.S. military installations in July and August with no reported incidents or personal problems, Experts CEO Thomas Hoshko said in a telephone interview.
Alexis had security clearance and a government contractor access card that allowed him access to the Navy Yard.
He worked on a contract to refresh internal Navy and Marine computer systems around the world. He had finished work for the company in Japan and was being reassigned to a new contract at the Navy Yard.

I certainly don't think all those video games are good. It seems too easy. Just like when we were kids, Bugs Bunny got shot and popped right up again. It never hurt him. There is a lesson there.

These nuts used these violent games to practice killing people before they committed their heinous acts.

Oh no, it can't be Clinton's fault. It must be Bush's fault!

Once again, murder in a gun free zone. Making good people helpless does not make bad people harmless.

Was he a crack baby? Well, let's support more of that with our welfare then. Let's encourage women to have kid after kid that they can't take care of because they are on drugs. (or for any reason) BTW I heard a bill was passed to reform welfare. Maybe I will see a link to a story later.
