WHO in 2016? The "Dead Broke"...HILLIONAIRE?
News Buzzard wrote:The Republicans have no one who can beat her:
Just who do the Republicans need to beat?
The one who's suffered two "health-breakdowns"?
The one who's "dead-broke"?
Hillary is the ultimate political insider, taking $20 million from Wall Street, including $5 million from Goldman Sachs. In two recent speeches to Goldman -- at $200,000 a pop -- Hillary spoke about why big banks shouldn't be blamed for the financial crisis. "We're all in this together," she reportedly told them.
Hillary's political campaigns have been financed by Wall Street.
Her family foundation is underwritten by banks, corporations and foreign governments. Even as secretary of state, she aggressively lobbied for major U.S. corporations -- like Boeing -- to get lucrative foreign contracts. In Boeing's case, it returned the favor by making a $900,000 contribution to Hillary's favorite charity -- the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/07/16/elizabeth_warren_could_beat_hillary_123334.html#ixzz3

As a form of persuasive speech, making a prediction is very weak. In fact it is virtually no argument at all, since anyone can make a prediction about anything. The more blithe certitude expressed by someone making a prediction, the more suspect they are. Without facts to support claims, the more likely their prediction is the product of magical thinking.
The political pundits keep saying Hillary will win, but I have yet to hear anyone state why they support her. What is her platform? What does she bring to the table?
November 2016 is still a long way away. The world can change in a moment. Wars, terrorist attacks, and heart attacks...who knows. It is not even known if Hillary really intends to run. It certainly looks that way, but it is entirely possible that she just intends to monetize the notion that everyone thinks that she is going to run.
The Political Pendulum is swinging. One would have to be on vacation for the past few years (or be perpetually attending fundraisers) not to see this. Americans have grown weary of the corruption, waste, finger pointing and gridlock in D.C. and it is obvious that a polarizing career politician like Hillary would not be able to reach across the aisle. It would be nearly impossible to make the argument that the election on Hillary Clinton would change anything in D.C. Why would any sound thinking person want more of what we have had over the past 5+ years?

Her latest "excuse" for why she might not run is she wants to be sure she has time to be a grandmother.

Maybe you should be.

Like I said, if she decides not to run, her excuse will be the baby. That way she won't have to admit her poor health.

That's hysterical! The Republicans can never come up with a good candidate, so they rely on conspiracy theories to attack the Democrat ! And now the birthers are claiming that Hillary is in poor health. I guess this nonsense won't end as long as there is dark money pouring into these campaigns, thanks to the Supreme Court !

That's right. Hillary Clinton's bad health is a figment of Karl Rove's demented imagination! You know Karl Rove, he was the guy on FOX News who was convinced that Romney was going to win!

Oh, so it was all a big lie made up by Karl Rove that she fell down and has something wrong with her head and now wears coke bottle glasses?

Re: Hillary In 2016
Hillary had a medical issue that was resolved. Reagan took a bullet to the chest and recovered. Rove's lie is that her condition is still incapacitating her. The next thing Rove will be telling us is that Hillary was born in Kenya !
Do you have any shred of evidence, other than Rove's dribble, that Hillary has a continuing serious medical condition which would disqualify her for the presidency???
The Republicans can't find a qualified candidate for the position, so they choose to attack the Democrats. How did that work out with Obama????

Liberals' hearts lie with Warren...
How could News Buzzard object to a concrete platform, such as Elizabeth Warren's.
What does Hillary offer above FauxCahontas?
.
What does Hillary offer above FauxCahontas?
And the main tenet of conservatives' philosophy, according to Warren? "I got mine. The rest of you are on your own."Watch Elizabeth Warren give a speech to her fold, and you realize she's one of the rare Democrats who can excite her base in the same way Ted Cruz or Dr. Ben Carson can excite their own. As Politico's Katie Glueck wrote on Friday, liberals' minds may be with Hillary Clinton, but their hearts lie with Warren.
Speaking on Friday at Netroots Nation, a convention for liberal bloggers and activists, Warren got the crowd more fired up than Vice President Joe Biden was able to do the day before. (To be fair, the crowd was in a solemn mood at the time in reaction to the news of the Malaysian passenger plane crash). In her speech, Warren outlined more clearly than other Democrats the social issues that galvanize progressives. Her performance was reminiscent of a certain other young senator in 2008.
"What are our values?" Warren asked the audience, some of whom held up "Run Liz Run" signs. "What does it mean to be a progressive?"
She went on to outline 11 tenets of progressivism:
- "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it."
- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."
- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."
- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."
- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."
- "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."
- "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."
- "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."
- "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."
- "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."
- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

Re: Hillary In 2016
I'm not sure Hillary has the stamina for a full-fledged campaign and its’ my impression she might have some degree of aphasia from her stroke. Her speech is slower and more deliberate than it was just a few years ago.
It looks as though Hillary would not have a cake-walk through the primaries. Hillary and Warren would be a very expensive dog fight (pun intended) and whoever comes out of it would be damaged severely.
Both have a lot of baggage that can and will be exposed. Neither one is a shoe in.
Obama's legacy of failure has crippled and continues to cripple Democrats and Progressives. Obama lost the House and will probably lose the Senate this fall. There are more state Republican officeholders than at any previous point in history.
Any Democrat is beatable after 8 years of failed Democrat policies during Obama's disastrous tenure as President. As for Chief Sitting Bullsh*t and Sanders…Americans are not going to elect a far left loon in 2016.

Re: Hillary In 2016
I did not realize that Elizabeth Warren didn't admit that she lied, that she has no Indian blood. Guess she is a true Democrat then. Just like the other Dems. the big guy in particular. she will never admit her lie and I guess she thinks that will make her lie the truth. After all Obama has gotten away with it, Hillary and Bill got away with all their lies, too.

Re: Hillary In 2016
That whole nonsense about Elizabeth Warren's heritage was overblown by Scott Brown, who lost to Elizabeth Warren, and those of you who think Hillary can't muster up the strength for a campaign must be on the same hallucinogenic drugs that had you convinced that Romney was going to win.

Blown out of proportion? How so?
Was it over-blown by the Cherokee Nation? They are still VERY unhappy about this.
She lied about her heritage for educational and professional gain. She was the one who checked off the little box that said ‘Native American” on her applications. She was the one that referred to herself as a “Woman of color”, but when the Cherokee Nation called her on it; she blamed “right wing extremists”.
