From the story:
The share of the working-age population either employed or seeking a job declined in April for the first time this year, helping drive the unemployment rate down to 6.3 percent, the lowest since September 2008. At 62.8 percent, the so-called participation rate matches the lowest since March 1978.
A shrinking workforce saps the U.S. of the manpower needed to boost the expansion to a higher level, keeping the world’s largest economy merely plodding along. It also undercuts the theory that sustained growth alone will be enough to attract more Americans, from students to people discouraged over employment prospects, back into the hunt for jobs.http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-05-02/workforce-participation-at-36-year-low-even-as-more-jobs-beckon.html

I can't argue with you on this one. 90 million represents more than 65% of the total workforce. This is an obvious bogus figure.
I can’t stand when people do that, especially when there is no reason to exaggerate Obama’s failures.
Unfortunately there are people on both sides willing to lie and exaggerate to prop up their views. Just the other day I heard a democrat claim the stimulus worked, the economy is doing well and Obama created 8 million jobs. It takes all kinds.

Just imagine if Romney became president and he let Detroit go bankrupt! That would have meant the loss of millions of jobs right there, so now the unemployment rate would have been about 8% instead of 5.9%. It's so easy to say Obama is a failure but talk is cheap!

Detroit is going down the tubes.

Detroit has filed for bankruptcy on Obama's watch.
Successful American cars are assembled from/at many different locations today.
Mexico, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Canada come to mind.

You know I was referring to the auto industry and Romney can't take back the op-ed piece he wrote! Meanwhile, about 17 million
new cars will be sold in the US this year. Couple that with the fact that the unemployment rate is 5.9% and sooner or later the right wing will have to admit the economy is getting better. Ignore all of those buses coming into town and the crowded restaurants, and ignore all of the building permits being issued around the lake, and the people will be stupid enough to believe that the economy is still terrible!

Nice job getting the middle class onto lakefront properties.
