"...One Minnesota Congressman, Democrat Rick Nolan, says President Obama needs to “man up, step up” and start firing people.

"Top Obama administration officials, particularly Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, are under fire for technology woes plaguing the law’s centerpiece Web site. It is the backbone of the health insurance signup process and has proven unreliable. The plain-spoken Nolan says they can’t get good answers about what went so wrong.

"House Democrats left a closed-door briefing with administration health officials Wednesday..."

Do you really think 13 months from now this will be an issue?  lol! lol! lol!

Lets’ review…

Americans didn’t care about Benghazi because it did not affect them.

Americans didn’t care about Obama’s gun running to Mexico because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about the IRS discrimination because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about the NSA spying because it didn’t affect them (apparently France and Germany do care)

Americans didn’t care about the Fort Hood shooting because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care when Obama changed the Rules of Engagement for our warriors because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about green energy boondoggle because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about the National Labor Relations Board mess because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about SEAL Team VI Extortion 17 because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about massive voter fraud because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about the military not getting their votes counted because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about Obama arming the Muslim Brotherhood because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about The DOJ spying on the press because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about Sebelius shaking down health insurance executives because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about interfering with an IG investigation on dept. sexual misconduct because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about HHS employees being given insider information on Medicare Advantage because it didn’t affect them.

Americans didn’t care about Clinton, the IRS, Clapper & Holder all lying to Congress because it didn’t affect them.

But saying a partial government shut-down of the Federal Government for a couple of weeks is going to enrage and captivate nonpartisan voters for the next 13 months?

Not a freakin’ chance.  13 days in politics is an eternity.

The biggest mistake this administration made (and that is saying a lot) was not allowing the individual mandate to be delayed by one year.  The Republicans where dumb as a bag of doorknobs to even put this on the table.  Fortunately, the Democrats were also too shortsighted to take it.

The Republicans should have just stood back and watched Obamacare implode as it is doing right now and will continue to do over the next year.

People will be (and are) outraged when they lose their healthcare, doctors and jobs.  People will be (and are) outraged that they will pay more for healthcare and get less under Obamacare.  You see people care when their lives are affected directly.  They didn’t care about the B.S. this administration has pulled up until this point because it made little to no difference in their lives.  Obamacare will make a difference and those who made it happen will be held responsible as they were in 2010.

Healthcare.gov will be up and running by the end of November:

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/admin-healthcare-gov-will-work-smoothly-by-end-of-november

The Republicans next big SNAFU will be immigration reform. That's going to cost them the next 2 election cycles and they won't see the inside of the White House for at least a generation!! They don't seem to comprehend the fact that Obama took 332 electoral votes with only 39% of the white vote. HELLO!

And if you read the article, he's not even promising that it will be completely fixed, just that it will work for the "vast majority." So even if they deliver on this promise, which I doubt, there will still be people who still won't be able to get through the exchanges.

But Obama doesn't have many choices. Insurance companies are threatening to sue if he delays the individual mandate. And insurance experts are already pointing out that the vast majority of people signing up are on Medicaid. The Obama admin said they need 1/2 of the people to be in private insurance for this to work. In many states, the sign ups have been 80-90% Medicaid so far.

This this isn't going to end in a death spiral, it's going to start in a death spiral.

I would say it will cost the repubs 3 election cycles before they can even look like a serious candidate for even a janitors job in the White House.

There are 46 million people uninsured in the US. We should have just given each one a million dollars. Then they could pay for their own health care. I bet they would have been happier and obama wouldn't have had to shut down the government.

I think your math is off or, at least it is for as long as we have Obama in the White House. There's no telling where this mess will eventually spiral down to.

The trouble is, the million would have been gone and they would still need money for health care.

One thing that hasn't been discusses a lot if that if healthcare is free, it encourages people to live at the doctor's offices or hospital. I had a girl work for me once who worked in a doctor's office and she said the welfare mother's were in there every week. It was free so they just didn't care.

There you go, spreading gloom and doom.

Lawyer Michelle Obama got a great Chicago hospital gig when Lawyer Barack Obama became Senator after "opposition research" killed-off his opponent. The gig evaporated when the totally untried Lawyer Barack Obama was elected to the Senate.

This is a serious question. obama has our nation and government divided and in disarray. One of the main reasons is obamacare. Did obama force obamacare on us because it was the most expensive project he could think of?

I keep hearing that Obamacare is overwhelmingly unpopular, but a recent Gallup poll has the law's popularity at 45% for and 50% against. I would consider that to be more like 50-50 rather than overwhelmingly unpopular:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2013/10/23/democrats-rally-around-health-care-law/?hpid=z8

In the meantime, after this most recent Republican stunt, the shutdown, Congressional popularity has reached a low of 8%:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/congressional_job_approval-903.html

The Healthcare website is a disaster, no doubt, but the situation could have been so much better if all of the states had set up exchanges. On this issue the Republicans will once again overreach in their attempt to destroy Obamacare!

Why didn't we give anybody without insurance a million dollars? They would have been happy and we would have saved hundreds of millions of dollars.

NB, you dig up these polls from somewhere that are different than the rest of them???

It was just as much a Democrat shutdown as Republican

You always find something to blame others for. Now because the states didn't all set up exchanges the website doesn't work?? That's a gem!!

Gallup is not a fly-by-night organization. Here is another one from Rasmussen which shows a 46% favorability against a 48% unfavorability:

WHL wrote:It was just as much a Democrat shutdown as Republican
No it wasn't! It was an attempt at extortion by the Republicans and that's why the congress now enjoys an 8% approval rating. Do you really think people are that stupid?

WHL wrote:You always find something to blame others for.  Now because the states didn't all set up exchanges the website doesn't work??  That's a gem!!
That one is a beauty. One of the authors of Obamacare, Mitt Romney, repeatedly said that a law like Romneycare could not work on the federal level and that it should be up to the states, and then the Republican governors across the country refuse to set up state exchanges to spite Obama. How long do you think it will take the overwhelming majority of the public to realize that it is the Republican party who is trying to deny them healthcare coverage? Judging by the 8% approval rating of congress and the increasing approval rating of Obamacare I think the public has already figured it out. The mid-terms are right around the corner!!

Stay away from ObamaCare - Page 2 Empty Under pressure, 10 Senate Democrats push for Obamacare extension

Post  fshnski Sat Oct 26, 2013 11:43 am

A coalition of 10 Senate Democrats asked President Obama’s top health official on Friday to extend Obamacare’s open-enrollment period past March, citing persistent problems with the website that’s supposed to help many uninsured Americans gain coverage.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire is leading the charge to give people more time to use the online portals, known as exchanges, where those without employer-based coverage can shop for private insurance.

Notably, the letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is signed by four Democrats who face re-election next year in traditionally red states — Sens. Mark Begich of Alaska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Kay Hagan of North Carolina.

Sens. Diane Feinstein of California, Mark Udall of Colorado, Michael Bennet of Colorado, Tom Udall of New Mexico, Martin Heinrich of New Mexico also signed the letter.

“For three years, we have been eagerly waiting for the launch of these marketplaces,” they wrote. “However, now that the marketplaces are open, we have become discouraged and frustrated with the problems and interactions that are occurring with the Affordable Care Act’s federally-administered website, healthcare.gov.”

If they had listened to Cruz the Democrats wouldn't be in this dilemma. They would have been able to test the product and make sure it was ready for the big time. And now, after obama closed down the government because he refused to accept a delay in the start of the program, nobody has been fired or disciplined. Could it be they don't know who was responsible? So far the only thing the Democrats have done is point fingers.
