Two Bombs at Boston Marathon...

I have watched quite a few videos of the terrorist attack. What a great job by the first responders.

There were two bomb sweeps with dogs in the area of the bombings in the morning, but it was an area that was open to everyone.

I can't help but think the security might have gotten slacker as the long event went on.

OMG, those are just awful. It makes me want to throw up!!!

I am not aware that Mayor Menino has made any such statement. The FBI canceled it's scheduled 8pm press briefing, but as a News Hawk you knew that

The FBI says these pictures are the ONLY photos the public should use to help identify the suspects because of the NY Post identifying a Revere Mass High School student as the bomber in a front page photo.

What reporters caught was what they wanted to hear.

Upon a careful review of the video, Mayor "Mumbles" Menino actually didn't say,

"We got an arrest in this case."

The majority of reporters are of the opinion now, that what he said was,

"We got a restroom in this place?"

That does not justify labeling him as the bomber which they did. Thousands of people at the marathon "resemble" the bomber! As a matter of fact it kind of reminds me of an avatar that you once used on a different forum!

I agree the Post gets it wrong from time to time but at least they have the balls to put it out there. They believe in old style journalism where they will take a chance to get first scoop. For my news I go to the NY Post first and if something important is happening I go to CNN and Fox, the Washington Post and the Washington Examiner. After that I check Foolocracy and News Busters and NPR. If the event is in progress I switch between CNN and Fox. The truth is somewhere in the middle of all this. If you're not reading, watching or listening to more then one side of the story you will never know the truth.

And I like their "grittiness" of the New York post. They're not afraid to tell it like it really is.

That is not old style journalism, that is the new social network journalism where it's more important to be first than it is to be right. Good Journilists make sure they get it right the first time!

Yeah, like 12 dead...a Revere high school track star is a bomber...you read about it exclusively at the NY POST...because they made it up!

They didn't make it up. Now you sound like News Chickadee. They got a tip and they went with it. You throw enough lasagna against the wall and some of it's going to stick. I like their news style.

The Post stands by their story:

Post editor Col Allan defended the newspaper's decision to run its cover and the story, telling Michael Calderone: "We stand by our story. The image was emailed to law enforcement agencies yesterday afternoon "seeking information about these men, as our story reported. We did not identify them as suspects."

The Government admits it doesn't even know where those with proper visas—issued over the last few decades are—presently.
