Chief Deverau released that information during a post capture press conference when asked how the younger brother got away in the shootout. He says three officers had the older brother on the ground and were cuffing him, still alive, when the younger brother was able to jump back into the SUV and drive directly at the cops. They jumped out of the way at the last second and the younger brother drove over his brother, dragging him to his death with the SUV as he made his escape, Not something you would have heard on your internet scanner from 'away'.

There was a lot of chatter I missed, but not the part of the neighbor calling the cops on the perp hiding in a backyard boat outside the perimeter of thousands of cops. "Extinguish all lights" preceded the use of special night vision apparatus that located a person in that boat.

It was when I heard the command to "Hold your fire. There will be explosions shortly. Do not return fire"...that I perked up. "Flash-bangs were mentioned, then—"Maintain radio silence".

I'm outraged by any and all Terrorist attacks and the needless deaths that accompany Terrorist bombings—even including donkeys that transported bombs delivered against American buildings.

Sixty percent of attacks against US embassies were by Muslims, but it's taken many years until Muslims achieved success in murdering a U.S. Ambassador:

A fool who bicycled past a Central Park running race with a timer in his backpack caused a bomb scare yesterday, as jittery cops pulled out all the stops to make sure security was ramped up in light of the Boston Marathon bombing last week, officials said.

The Harlem man seemed to do everything he could to raise a terror alert, as he refused to stop pedaling when confronted by race organizers. They wanted him to get out of a lane reserved for participants in the City Parks Foundation Run for Parks, near West 80th Street at 8 a.m., cops said.

When an officer asked what was in the backpack, he said a “homemade timer.” Inside, cops spotted a box with several wires sticking out.
