A dishonest presidency - Page 4 Empty One more obama lie ...

Post  fshnski Thu Dec 05, 2013 4:17 pm

The White House on Thursday admitted that President Obama had lived with his uncle Onyango “Omar” Obama in the mid-1980s, after previously denying that the two had ever met.

The controversy arose after Omar Obama testified during a deportation hearing in Boston this week that the president had lived with him while he was a student at Harvard Law School.

The White House had previously told the Boston Globe that Obama never met his uncle, who is related to him from his father’s side.

On Thursday, White House press secretary Jay Carney said that when they had first been asked about Obama's relationship with his uncle in 2011, they consulted the president's memoir Dreams from My Father and found no mention of him.

“There was no evidence they had met and that was what was conveyed,” said Carney. He added that at the time “no one spoke to the president” and asked him about the matter.

Carney added that it was his idea to ask the president after reports about Omar Obama’s comments during his immigration hearing surfaced.

“I thought it was the right thing to do to ask him,” he said, adding “nobody had asked him in the past.”

Carney said the president, while a Harvard law student, stayed with his uncle for “brief period of time” and then moved into his own residence. He added that they subsequently saw each other “once every few months” but “after law school they gradually fell out of touch.”

“The president has not seen Onyango Obama in 20 years and has not spoken with him in roughly 10 years,” Carney added.

Obama’s uncle was granted legal residency by a judge on Tuesday.

The White House says they did not interfere in any way with the proceeding.

Last year, the administration stated there was no record of Mr. Obama having lived with his uncle, and the president did not step forward to correct the record.

Onyango Obama, who also has been arrested for driving drunk, is allowed to stay in the U.S. as a result of a immigration court decision earlier this week.

The White House acknowledged Thursday that President Obama lived with his uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while he was a student at Harvard Law School -- despite previously saying there was no record of the two having met.

"The president did stay with him for a brief period of time until his apartment was ready," White House spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement. "After that, they saw each other once every few months, but after law school they fell out of touch. The president has not seen him in 20 years, has not spoken with him in 10. "

Onyango "Omar" Obama faced a deportation hearing earlier this week following a drunk-driving arrest. During the hearing, he said that the president had lived with him while he was a student at Harvard.

The Boston Globe reported in 2012, after Omar Obama's arrest, that the White House said he had "never met his famous nephew." The White House now says it only told the Globe that there was no record of the two having met -- not definitively that they hadn't met.

In its report Thursday, the Globe confirmed that the White House initially said that there was no record that they had met. It said the White House never asked for a correction.

It's been predicted that Obama will "forgive" all student loans.

After all, it's not his money, and "the deficit doesn't matter".

Now the White House is saying Obama actually stayed with him for a while when he came to this country. So they are now admitting he knew him. Another lie.

"What can we do to stop the GOP, the Republicans, from rigging the states, rigging the votes, state by state, to disenfranchise voters and destroy our democracy?" Thirty six states right now led by Republican legislatures have been trying to make it difficult for minority people to vote, especially in big cities and older people. Everybody knows the game. Republicans often admit the game to deny people the vote."

This was a "question" to obama.

This is the new liberal attack plan. They were told to reverse everything. "If this is what the Republicans say about us, just say the same thing back".
The A word has already started trying that here. It's the Democrats newest ploy to confuse the uneducated. The liberals time would be better spent making sure voters have the correct ID for the coming mid-term elections.

This "question" was axed to obama by Chris Matthews at American University. Matthews works for MSNBC. That's the same place Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin used to work. I say used to because both have been fired recently. Bashir for saying Sarah Palin deserves to have somebody shit in her mouth. Baldwin was fired for calling a paparazzi a f--k--g faggot.

That was a good question to ask! The GOP lost the minority vote and now they don't want them to vote at all.

The GOP sure does get nasty when they lose an election. Just like here on this forum when someone tries to tell the truth about the GOP. The member either gets banned or the moderator will say "knock it off".

The worst kind of republican is when someone switches parties and then goes on a forum and spends 24/7 trolling and telling lies about his former party.

The president doesn't have the cojones to appear before a real crowd or be interviewed by anybody that hasn't been hand picked. That's why he didn't go to Gettysburg.

When the democrats take the lower chamber the whole world will celebrate. Then you can switch parties again.
