Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
Looking at the extended forecast the average daytime highs over the next week should be approx. 55 degrees. This should be more than enough to melt the remaining snow in my back yard............... and this leads up to me pulling the boat home! I am thinking next Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. I have enough work to last the next four weekends and I intend to be on the lake early May!
Lets all get the boats done and meet up in the broads!

Let's hope it melts! And the ice does, so we CAN be on the lake in early May. I am not sure when our boats are going in. Only one is scheduled so far and that's for May 13th I think. I think that would be a lot of fun for us all on our little forum to meet up!

Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
I know I am away for Memorial Day weekend but other than that I hope to be up there in May. Heading up tomorrow for a family Easter.
The last few years there was no ice at this point... Fingers crossed things really start to heat up soon!
Yes, fingers are crossed!
What do you say, outer, fsh, NH, how about a little get together?? And anybody else that wants to.

There is no TD bank office within 100 miles of me, but here's an ad that appeared this morning. I do have an account with this Canadian-based bank in Wolfeboro.

No response about a get together later in the spring on the lake?

Once again a creepy post by NH that some how ends up with an indirect reference to another poster.

I am confused, fsh? You mean because you name is somehow under the TD Bank ad?

Yes. Plus the real-estate post with reference to SL's home town.

It's a "screenshot" that wasn't fully cropped to exclude the fsh details.
Presently, Internet Explorer can't display the ads you (and I) see, but I could have edited fsh's details off the "See all fshnski's Posts" Statistics page.
"There, I've Fixed It"...

Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
Just back from the lake. I was there for the Holiday. People still on the ice fishing and saw a couple snowmobiles out there. A lot of water along the shores and shallow areas.
WHL - I am all for a meet up. I will have dates for everyone when I will be out and available after April. Lots of packing and transporting of items to family members.
In regards to Nhawk, there is no doubt that his cookies have grabbed past searches and he is now trying to confuse the issue. We have all been around long enough to know that some people have issues and sometimes go beyond the norm. Unfortunately this is why I have to be very careful posting anywhere. My words regardless of their intent have been misconstrued to no end. Just have to take it for what it is.

Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
I bet you are really busy!
I hope we can have a get together, it would be fun. Keep us posted. I bet NH will join us and I hope fsh and outer will, as well as anyone else.
If NH offends you on this forum, let me know. I will scold him and delete his post. I am so used to ignoring him that I sometimes miss his posts that can offend others. He likes to start trouble to make the forums interesting but people do get offended.

That issue is settled; however, I just realized I don't do any banking on-line.WHL wrote:NH, how did fsh get added onto that ad you posted?
I do keep a TD bank icon on my toolbar.
Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
I have no idea where this thread has gone to but............................. Boat is back. Picked her up this morning.. Had to push her over what little of a snow bank is at the end of the driveway. Hoping to get some hours into her this weekend.

Too much to do too little time!
OMG.... Yesterday I finally had 3 hours to myself to open her up and inspect the repairs / upgrades as well as to begin the clean up process. I knew it would be a tough battle, however never in my wildest dreams would I have known it was this bad.
The fiberglass dust was everywhere. about 1/4 inch inside the cabin on the floor. On the ceiling, inside the amplifier (sealed) compartments, the head, built up on the gauges, simply everywhere! If that wasn't enough my damp rids had run out and the white vinyl had mildew and grime all over it! All of this I was able to handle. 2 hours of vacuuming and an hour doing just the sun pad and she was starting to look back to her former self. The straw that broke the camels back was when I tried to shine up the fiberglass inside the cockpit. Normally a mirror shine, but this time the best way to describe it was a film over everything. Almost a texture as your rubbed you hand on it. I tried to spray shine it but nothing.
So with only 6 weeks till the move and a list of things that have to get done, I hooked her up and towed her to the detailer. Not something I wanted to do, especially when I can and do enjoy doing it myself, but the time simply isn't there.
So I pick her up on May 4th for a May 5th test! That may be the only weekend I am out this year for my closing date got moved up. Will make sure to swing through Winter Harbor to say hi to WHL! (or at least for a ride by)

Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
Oh no! Poor sumr! Why do you think you had all that fiberglass dust everywhere?? I don't blame you for taking it to the dealer! Why deal with it especially with your time frame!
Yes, please come by for a visit May 4th or 5th. Keep me posted and I will be sure to be there! Do you know where my house is? I can't remember if you do. Maybe we could swing by and pick up or just say hi to NH or outer. I don't know where to find fsh.

Re: Everyone's Boat Ready?
It looks like the test just got bumped up to April 27th. My mechanic wants to be there for the first test so I have to work around his schedule.
Hope ice is out by then!!! LOL

That will be close! Let's hope the ice is out. It will probably be. It seems like it is going to be a pretty average ice out year around the 20 or 21st. If the weather stays real warm though---
